Miss World Australia
Olivija Spanovskis is Miss World Australia and will represent the nation at the 73rd Miss World Festival (2026), bringing a strong focus on purpose-led travel, conservation, and storytelling to the global stage.
Raised in South Australia, Olivija’s connection to Australia’s landscapes was shaped early through extensive travel across regional and remote areas of the country. From coastal environments to inland regions, these formative experiences fostered a deep respect for nature, culture, and the responsibility of caring for the places we inhabit - values that now underpin her advocacy and professional work.
Born in Adelaide and having spent part of her early childhood in Perth, Olivija completed her education in South Australia before graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Marketing, from the University of Adelaide. Her early years were marked by a balance of academic, creative, and sporting pursuits, including dance, netball, music, and AFL, building a foundation of discipline, teamwork, and confidence.
At 14, Olivija was scouted into modelling - an experience that introduced her to high-pressure creative industries at a young age. While the industry provided valuable exposure and opportunities, it also challenged her sense of identity and resilience. These experiences became instrumental in shaping her perspective on self-belief, rejection, and personal agency, reinforcing the importance of backing oneself and creating opportunities rather than waiting for them.
That mindset led Olivija to Miss World Australia, where she approached the program as a personal development journey rather than a competition. Throughout the process, she demonstrated growth in leadership, communication, and advocacy, aligning strongly with the organisation’s Beauty With A Purpose ethos. She credits the program with strengthening her confidence and sharpening her ability to use her voice with intention and responsibility.
Professionally, Olivija works as a Marketing Executive in the experiential tourism industry with Journey Beyond, promoting immersive travel experiences across Australia. Her role spans destinations including Ningaloo Reef, Arnhem Land, the Great Barrier Reef, and cross-continental rail journeys aboard The Ghan. Central to her work is a commitment to connection - connecting people to place, culture, and community through responsible and sustainable travel.

Building on this experience, Olivija founded Our Kanyini, a purpose-led initiative advocating for mindful travel grounded in conservation, cultural respect, and long-term care for natural environments. Through storytelling and education, the project encourages travellers to move beyond consumption toward responsibility, regeneration, and community engagement.
As Miss World Australia, Olivija is preparing to represent the nation internationally, carrying a platform rooted in advocacy, integrity, and impact. Her preparation includes continued development of her Beauty With A Purpose project, public speaking, training, and collaboration with partners aligned with sustainability and community-led change.

Looking ahead, Olivija intends to continue using her platform to inspire the next generation to pursue growth with courage and intention. Through conservation advocacy, purpose-led travel, and storytelling, she believes greater understanding leads to deeper appreciation - and with appreciation comes the responsibility to protect what matters.
